Q: How can I lower my stress levels?

A: This is not an easy or straightforward answer. The short answer is that the solution for each individual is unique. For my patients I suggest a power hour; 30 minutes of brisk walking, preferably outside around trees (data suggests seeing trees reduces stress) followed by 30 minutes of mindful activity such as meditation, yoga, deep breathing, observing nature, or doing a non-work related hobby is the best way to do this. Regular “practice” is how one defeats stress and the physical and mind exercises do this best.
